This presentation and project were about the application of physics in landmine detection. The project was a proof of concept design and was never meant to be used for detecting landmines.
Everything dealing with the project related to physics in one respect or another, whether it be mechanics, electrical systems or the operation of the microcontroller.
My inspiration for this project was that I try to live by this quote:
"I have an irrepressible desire to live till I can be assured that the World is a little better for my having lived in it."
As an aspiring engineer I want to effect change now and in the future. These are baby steps into the full fledged thing. At one conference
a lecturer told us "No evil robots...". Violence and death can end at the engineering level if we want it to, stop engineering landmines, tanks and weapons,
then how will people fight one another so violently?
